Grades 9–12

In the modern world, it is particularly important to align high school curriculum with the Common Core State Standards. First, high school students must have the knowledge and the personal, communication, technology, analytical and computational skills they will need to tackle college-level work. Second, students must be prepared to undertake increasingly complex tasks in each successive grade, particularly in math and science, even to graduate from high school. As demands for a highly educated workforce continue to accelerate, high school teachers must ensure that course content and assignments are sufficiently rigorous so that all students are capable of completing post-secondary training and degrees.
